A compact, capable 12-inch bi-amplified active monitor from Yamaha's professional DBR series — equally at home as a stage floor monitor, small PA fill, DJ booth reference speaker or compact front-of-house system for intimate events and presentations. The Yamaha DBR12 is available for active monitor hire across Northamptonshire, the East Midlands and the wider UK through Northants Event Solutions.
The DBR12 delivers 1,000W total bi-amplified output — 700W to the 12" LF driver and 300W to the 1" HF compression driver — through custom-designed Yamaha transducers and a wide-dispersion 90° × 60° constant directivity horn. Yamaha's D-CONTOUR DSP processing dynamically adapts the frequency response at varying volume levels, maintaining consistent tonal balance whether the monitor is running quietly during a soundcheck or pushed hard during a live set. FIR-X tuning simultaneously optimises both frequency and phase response for improved clarity and imaging. Multiband dynamic processing provides consistent output character across the full level range. Built-in 2-channel mixer with dual combo XLR/TRS inputs and dual RCA inputs blends two sources directly at the speaker — useful for DJ monitor applications or any setup where running a separate mixer to a monitor position isn't practical. XLR thru/mix output for signal extension to additional speakers. 50° wedge angle with symmetrical enclosure design for mirror-mode floor monitoring — a pair of DBR12s can be deployed facing each other for a shared monitor position without tonal inconsistency. 3 × M8 rigging points for optional fly mounting. Pole mount socket for stand or sub pole use. At 15.8kg it's easily portable for single-person setup.
