A high-power dual 12-inch slot-loaded low-frequency extension cabinet from JBL's professional PD Series — designed specifically for use with mid-high and full-range loudspeakers in large-scale installed and touring systems. The JBL PD5122 is available for passive speaker hire across Northamptonshire, the East Midlands and the wider UK through Northants Event Solutions.
The PD5122 houses two JBL 2206H 300mm (12") Vented Gap Cooled (VGC) drivers in a slot-loaded trapezoidal enclosure — the slot-loaded configuration replicates the low-frequency performance of the JBL PD6322 full-range system and is designed to extend low-frequency pattern control in larger arrays. Rated at 1,600W AES (6,400W peak) at 2 hours with a frequency range of 41Hz (–10dB) and maximum SPL of 128dB continuous (134dB peak). Dual input mode — parallel drive (4Ω) for a single amplifier channel or discrete drive (2 × 8Ω) for bi-amplified configurations — gives flexibility in system design. 20 M10 suspension attachment points (5 top, 5 bottom, 4 each side, 2 rear) for flown array configurations. Trapezoidal enclosure with 15° side angles in 11-ply Finnish birch plywood with DuraFlex finish. Neutrik Speakon NL4 and covered barrier strip terminals. Requires dedicated amplification and DSP crossover — pairs directly with our Linea Research 44M20 and 48M20 amplifier inventory. Principally intended for use alongside our JBL PD6322/43 full-range cabinets for complete system builds.
